Well, the best time to visit the Philippines is between January to March. For the weather is so cool. The sea is calm and you can freely go island hopping without any danger. You can visit Corregidor Island.

Although you are correct, on the surface there are many successful entrepreneurs who came from China in the Philippines. But there are also many successful Filipino entrepreneurs, in the Philippines & even abroad.
