As I am typing on my laptop, it is 12 midnight of November 1 AND we have no electricity! If Leelai were still awake, I would be teasing her about the coincidence. But, everyone is already asleep except for me. I hope the power comes back soon...before my batteries ran out, and before it gets too warm in this room for us too sleep comfortably.
Anywhoo, we did not go trick or treating at SM City Davao like we did when Leelai was 1 and 2 years old. This year, we joined McDonald's trick or treat program which was held yesterday (October 30). It was really unplanned. Aimee called me up at around ten in the morning to tell me that McDo's schedule was later at 2pm. (Registration was 200 pesos per child and it included a pumpkin pail, a chicken-spaghetti meal, a trip around the mall for trick or treating, and a short program with games and prizes afterwards.)
Cousins R2 and Gabe joined McDonald's program last year. Leelai wasn't able to go because we were in Manila that time and she didn't have her costume. R2 and Gabe had a great time (daw) last year and they didn't ran out of candies that's why Aimee and Nonnoy recommended we join this one instead of SM's program - which, if I still remember correctly, was too chaotic and crowded.
Weeks ago, I already asked Leelai what costume she wanted for Halloween. She has a Toy Kingdom catalogue and I asked her to choose a costume that she liked. (I wanted her to choose a fairy costume since she already has a wand and wings and antennae.) She wanted to wear her Princess Jasmine costume (again!). I also tried to convince her to dress up as an angel so that Liam could be a little devil. No such luck!
So, Princess Jasmine she was. We got ready right after Aimee's call. And, no surprise, Leelai didn't make a fuss when I told her to take a bath. We arrived at SM at 2:30. And the kids were able to join the 2nd batch (there were 4 batches).
I think they had fun...Leelai joined one parlor game. It was called Cinderella's Lost Shoe (or something) and her team won. Oh, R2 dressed as a Ninja. Gabe and Liam didn't wear any costume...they were just 'salimpusa'.
I have no pictures to show you because it was Nonnoy who brought the camera. Sorry.
PS. The power came back 5 minutes ago. Good night!
