I was still half expecting to see a fourth puppy when I woke up and checked them this morning. I thought she was carrying four when I looked at her xray film. But, it has been more than 24 hours since the third puppy was born. I guess I was mistaken...Button's final puppy count is three.
Three healthy and cute Beagle puppies. One female and two males. (Planning on calling the vet on Tuesday for their first check up.
I have heard of horror stories wherein some dogs do not know what to do when their puppies are born. I am so relieved that Button is a very good mom. She knows how to take care of her pups. Always checking them to see if they are complete. She has never left their side yet.
I hope to take some pictures of the pups soon to show you. Keep you posted!
