Weekly Fest: Not Our Children

 

Noooo! These are not pictures of our children. This is actually Papa Wins and me. Hard to believe that it has been seventeen years since this photo was taken. That is how long we have been sweethearts, MU, BF-GF or whatever it was called then. LOL!

It was photo ops-day for our high school yearbook. We went to the photo studio for our portraits. After the shots wearing our togas, we decided to have our picture taken as a couple. Our other couple friends also did the same.

As the years have gone by, the photos were either given away to friends or lost. As we did not have the negative wiith us and the studio has since closed, we thought that was the end of that.

Well, fast forward to eleven years...we were preparing for our wedding. I was looking for couple pictures to show at the reception. My Tita showed me her wallet, and viola!, our high school picture was there. Bless her sentimental heart! I immediately borrowed the wallet sized photo and had it scanned and enlarged at the nearest photo studio right away.

And so, the 8R photo of us was shown during our wedding reception. It also hangs over our bed today.
