I have just recently joined the U Comment I Follow movement. I have been seeing the badge all over the blogosphere and I finally clicked one to know what it was all about.
It is a campaign to remove "nofollow" tags in the comments section of a blog. The "nofollow" tag was apparently placed to prevent spam. However, with the advent of spam blockers and comment moderation, the method of adding "nofollow" tags to prevent spam seem pointless.
Now, it just prohibits the real commenters from being 'rewarded' for their valuable contribution to a post.
By removing the "nofollow" tags, I am able to share "linky love" and "Google juice" [cute terms, no?] to my precious readers. This means that if you leave a comment, with your URL, this link will COUNT as an inbound link to your site because search spiders can now crawl (or FOLLOW you) to your site.

Hi, I too favor do follow blog as there is no reason to keep any blog as no follow except to stop spam which can be stopped by many other means.
I have seen many of the blog maintaining do follow attribute in the beginning than they turn to no follow saying that they got incredible amount of spam. I hope in current days many spam filter are available in the market and even there is an option of moderisation than why they are unable to control them. By switching to no follow are spam are stopped, if yes than whether the real commentators will stop at the same blog to comment.No, nobody want to waste time. If by commenting on do follow blog they are rewarded by backlink than why such commentators will comment on no follow blogs.

The U comment I follow movement has really kicked off nicely, so long as people post relevant content on said blogs. I think if done correctly it helps both other blogs and sites along side your own! Outstanding choice.
