Liam's and Leelai's Tita Mommy (Tita Charrie) arrived yesterday for her 1 month vacation from her work abroad.
Her flight (Cebu Pacific) arrived on time last night. She had no problems checking in and her flight even departed a few minutes earlier than scheduled. (I was glad to hear that Cebu Pacific's flight delays have been solved now.)
We made 8 o'clock reservations at Emerald Seafood Garden (Phone (6382) 222-4657) for dinner. We arrived early (this is unusual for our family). Tita and her sundo (the rest of the family) were still on the way from the airport. We ordered ahead of time thinking that the food would be served just as they would arrive in 30 minutes or so. Papa Wins and I were surprised when they served the food 5 minutes after we ordered. Super fast service!
That would have been a good thing any other time. However that night, Tita Mommy and company were delayed by a sudden downpour. They were not able to get down from their vehicle right away because the entire front of the restaurant was flooded. They were able to enter the resto only after the flood slightly receded. The food was cold already but I don't think anybody noticed because we were all starving and busy chatting with each other.
My favorite dish was the Hot Prawn Salad that Papa Wins recommended. He was able to try this when he ate here with his colleagues. (See photo at right.) I will definitely order this again the next time we will eat here.
We also ordered large orders of Eight Treasures Soup, Sepo, Pata Tim, Steamed Fish with Soy Sauce, Sotanghon Guisado, Yang Chow Fried Rice, and Buttered Chicken (for the kids). The food was too much for 13 people that we were able to take home about 1/3 of the food.
We are planning for our next get together soon. How about a day at the beach, Tita Mommy?

This place has great food and a quiet kinda hollow sounding atmosphere,that's what I like about this place.Most emeralds are highly included,so their toughness is classified as generally poor.
