Our weekend with a view

viewpanorama

With Papa Wins still out of town, I and the kids spent the weekend with Lolo and Lola at Pangi. On Sunday afternoon, we (together with R2) went along with Lolo Bob to a friend's place up on a hill to watch them fly his RC airplanes.

His friend's property was overlooking Davao City and the view was breathtaking. I was glad I brought my camera along and take pictures. I wish you were there with us to see it. I don't know how to take good pictures to give it justice.

For the photo above, I just plopped the three pictures I took together using Photoshop. If I had more time, I would have edited it to make it more seamless.

While Lolo Bob chatted with his friends, the kids and I looked around. The photo below shows R2 and Leelai walking ahead of me. At the end of the runway was a 'heliport'. R2 and Leelai were so 'makulit' pretending to be Diego and Dora on an adventure.

This is Leelai posing at the end of the runway. Marco Polo Hotel could be seen from here. As well as Pryce Towers and the Landco building.

This is me with Liam on the baby sling and Leelai. R2 took the picture. It was really a challenge trying to take pictures with a baby on a sling also trying to grab the camera. I should have brought the stroller down from the car and put Liam in it. But then he would have gotten upset easily. So I think the sling was the better choice.

On the way back to the car, the kids were walking behind me. They began chanting "Saftey patrol, safety patrol! Do not touch!". When I turned to check them, they were looking at a millipede(?) on the ground. I took a picture and told R2 to try and touch it. He didn't want to. I touched it with the camera pouch to show them what it would do when 'harassed'.

After a while, Lolo Bob's friend showed us his RC planes. He has more than 10 planes, I think. He flew three for us that afternoon. The photos below are of the jet. (Click on images to enlarge.)

We stayed until six. The air was getting cooler and the lights of the city started to turn on little by little. I didn't take anymore pictures because Liam was getting fussy already and the kids were getting tired and thirsty.

I think the kids had fun and got so tired that Leelai slept earlier than usual last night.
