"Don't forget to pinch Liam's nose every morning, ha."
This is what I always hear from Mom every time she sees Liam. I also recall her telling me the same thing when Leelai was a baby. You see, ours is a family of flat noses. More specifically -- flat bridged. And she has always been conscious of that. I even remember when I was a little girl being told to massage my nose ten times a day.
I think this 'flat-nose' issue runs in the family because my aunt even went ahead and underwent rhinoplasty just recently. (It was subtle, though. It isn't too obvious.)
I was conscious of my nose when I was a teen, too. And I forgot all about it when I started wearing eyeglasses. (I thought the glasses was a perfect cover up. But only until my nose gets too oily then they start slipping down. LOL!)
Papa Wins and his family is quite our opposite. In local terms their noses are "matangos". Papa Wins' nose bridge is higher than the average Pinoy. When I was pregnant with the kids, I actually secretly hoped that they would inherit their Papa's nose and not mine. But, no, it looks like my genes won.
Even so, I still don't massage Liam's nose every morning. Shhh, don't tell Mom.

Haha! I always hear that too to my mom and other people specially if they want their child to have a pointed nose. Well for me having flat nose or pointed nose doesn't matter.

I just don't want my children or grand-children to have a nose as big as mine. Flat, pointed, hooked. whatever....just not big.
Noses don't matter, it's what's behind it.
just the way to joking is an amazing ans really interesting about the nose.
