A Clay Character called Leelai

I was surprised this morning to see my 4 year-old Leelai finally create something with her clay.

She has had tubs of clay before which she got from loot bag from parties. But all she does with them is mix together all the colors into one big ball. And then, she forgets to return the clay in its container after playing. I had to scrape our table and floor lots of times to remove the hardened clay.

I actually want her to make something with clay. I even bought her tools and clay molds which she could use. But I think I enjoyed playing with the tools more than her [~grins~]. Well, this morning, when I went to the bedroom. Leelai was watching her morning show on TV and she was fiddling with a piece of clay. When I went closer to take a look, I saw this funny character in front of the TV.

She says it is her playing with a soccer ball! She was still working on the clay when I took the pictures. If you take a closer look at the ball, you could see she even put tried to put details on it. The eyes are her typical style -- she always -- always -- puts eyeballs in her figures. [~haha~].

I bet that we haven't seen the last of Leelai's clay figures. I am looking forward to seeing what she makes next. Aren't you?

Leelai would love a comment or two if you like her creation. Thanks!

wow, nakarelate ako sau, before ganyan din ang nangyayari sa mga clays ni Princess, all went to waste. Nakakatuwa naman ang creation ni Leelai. It's good that you have a shot or two of it. Those are great for a scrapbook :D

Clay animation is one of many forms of stop motion animation. Each animated piece, either character or background, is "deformable" — made of a malleable substance, usually Plasticine clay.
